still remember my entry bout 12 years old girl yg mati jatuh dari tangki air tu? title dia 'Sedih tengok budak2 skrg' ... ha, dlm entry tu xde ckp pon apa hukuman yg dijatuhkan kat budak2 lelaki tu kan? hari tu, blk rumah, baru teringat, then tanya mak, mak ckp budak2 lelaki tu disoal siasat dulu, pastu dorg dimasukkan ke sekolah Henry Gurney klw xsilap... selalunya klw juvenile crime, akan dihantar ke situ lah kan?
DEFINITION OF JUVENILE
daripada pandangan undang2 there are various definitions of juvenile depends on umur mereka..
1- According to the Akta Penjara 1995, juvenile atau pesalah2 muda is defined as “a prisoner who is
under the age of 21 years”. The Prison Department of Malaysia detains juveniles aged antara 14 hingga 21 tahun dlm prison sbg banduan2 muda or in Henry Gurney School (approved school) as students. (mungkin dorg kena hukuman ini kot)
2- Akta Kanak-Kanak 2001 defines a child as “a person under the age of 18 years and below” dan mereka bertanggungjawab atas kesalahan mereka pada umur 10 tahun.
3- The Child Protection Act 1991 defines a child as “a person under the age of 18 years and below”.
4- The Children and Young Persons Employment Act 1996 defines a child as a person aged between 10 and 14 years, and a young person as one aged between 14 and 16 years.
From the legal point of view, maksud utk juveniles can be concluded as a group of adolescents under
the age of 21 years dan sesiapa yg ada tanggujawab criminal pada usia 10 tahun.. so, kanak2 yg kat luar tu, jgn igt awak tu budak2, xde hukuman tau.. :D
